Outfit: Pringle of Scotland
Take a look at this gorgeous blue 100% Merino wool jumper I bought in the Trinity House Hospice shop in Streatham. It was £3.50 (reduced from £7!). I spotted the red ‘Pringle of Scotland’ label from far away and swooped in, magpie-like, to ‘rescue’ it.
I’m wearing this with a black wool coat with leather sleeves, black skinny trousers, a crisp white shirt, black high heeled slouchy suede boots and black sunnies.

Great find! I always look out for wool jumpers in charity shops. Even if they’re moth-eaten you can felt them and use them for other things. I added felt elbow patches to a jumper with holey elbows, and I’m still planning a felt Peter Pan collar at some point.

Thanks! This one is just so soft and thick… feels great to wear. Coat is from Zara (a while back). It looks great but is actually one of the least practical garments I own – there are no buttons or zip so it just hangs open all the time.
Oh, a beautiful coat with no way to close! Once, I had that same problem with a jacket. I bought two of this big metal things, because they cannot be seen from the outside, and it worked. Sorry, I don´t know its name in English!

Fantastic jumper at a bargain price. You disguise how freezing it is despite the sun trying to make an appearance very well;) I think I need to pay a trip to some South London charity shops soon!

Love merino, we are just coming into Autumn here now in NZ (had to scrape ice off my car windows this morning!) and I love this colour, preppy chic :) merino becomes like a 2nd skin come winter! Going to search the 2nd hand shops next week thanks for the inspiration! Great blog too, came here via Re-Fashionista.

I love your blog. You are so creative! However this time i got a bit dissapointed when you didn’t do anything to the jumper. I have a similar looking red jumper in wool but it is way too big and I am trying to figure out how to remake it so it fits me. So when I saw the first pic I figured that this was exactly what I needed… Anyway, you look great in this outfit and I look forward to seeing what you will do next!

As an American I can’t help but giggle my butt off. Pringle’s are a processed potato chip that come in a tennis cannister over here. I didn’t even know there was a brand called Pringle. That lion is much classier than the Pringle’s guy though. Hi Ronja, we have Pringles (crisps) over here! Pringle of Scotland has been around since 1815 – in fact they invented the twinset.
